
Operating
in over 40 locations throughout the province, Saskatchewan's
regional college system provide adults in the rural and
northern parts of the province with an array of programs
and services.
The four types of programming available include basic
education, vocational/technical training, university
courses, and non-credit
programing, which comprises training for industry
and community development programs. The regional
colleges also provide
adult learners with a variety of career and student
support services to assist them in successfully
completing their
studies.
The above-noted programs and services are offered
through a variety of modes including face-to-face
communication,
multimode, SCN and most recently, Technology Enhanced
Learning (TEL).
Lakeland College in Lloydminster also serves Saskatchewan
students in the northwestern part of the province,
but is
administered by Alberta's provincial legislation.
Saskatchewan provides Lakeland College funding in
recognition of the
programs and services offered to Saskatchewan students.
Please note in 2008 Prairie West and Cypress Hills Regional Colleges almalgamated to form Great Plains College.
