GDP Growth
Statistics Canada indicates that Saskatchewan's real Gross Domestic
Product (GDP) grew from 1992 to 1999 at an annual average rate
of 3.4%. This is the third highest rate among the provinces
and the same as the national average.

GDP: The total market value, measured in constant prices (adjusted
for inflation), of all goods and services produced in an economy
over a given period of time

In 1999, Saskatchewan’s total real GDP (at factor cost)
amounted to $23.9 billion. Nearly two-thirds was produced by
the service-producing area and just over one-third by the goods-producing
area.
