Career development is about growing through life and work; about learning, experiencing, living, working and changing; about creating and discovering pathways through one’s life and work. When intentional, career development is about actively creating the life one wants to live and the work one wants to do. The Blueprint for Life/Work Designs will help make career development intentional for more people.

Canada Career Consortium
The Canada Career Consortium, as a national forum, initiates, develops and co-ordinates career and labour market information to enable all Canadians to make transitions.

Canadian Career Information Association
Brings together individuals who share a common interest in the development, distribution and use of career resources. It is a volunteer organization of members from across Canada who work in the field of career information

Canadian Career Information Partnership(CCIP)
Is a national partnership of members from every province who share ideas, information and expertise to learn from one another and facilitate national, regional and local career development direction and initiatives.

Canadian Standards and Guidelines for Career Development Practitioners
This site keeps you up to date on the work being done to create and implement a set of Canadian standards and guidelines to be used by career practioneers in their day to day business.

National guidelines for the delivery of career and labour market information for in-person, internet, telephone and mail (electronic and regular services) services.

The Canadian Career Development Foundation (CCDF)
A charitable foundation committed to advancing the understanding and practice of career development. Established in 1979, CCDF's career development specialists actively work on projects that strengthen and support the career development profession and improve access to quality career services for Canadians.  Services include applied research; curriculum/program development, policy consultation, training, evaluation and project management.  CCDF also offers The Career Clearinghouse, a central hub for career practitioners seeking access to affordable, high quality resources and training support.

Employment Readiness Scale TM (ERS)
This web-based client self-assessment tool measures 9 readiness factors plus 30 common client challenges. Agency reports provide aggregate information on client needs, client changes over time, and intervention effectiveness. Licensing fee applicable.
